Demarkup finds the same product for less. To do that we need what you send us and a little about how you use it. This page says what we keep, why, for how long, and who else sees it. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for ads.
Demarkup is run by TheBase, 101-913, 20 Jeongpyeong-ro 13beon-gil, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Questions: dev@demarkup.com.
What we keep
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| The links and photos you send, and the result we found (the products, prices and delivery times) | To run the check and show it at its own link | 12 months; photos 90 days |
| A random device ID: a cookie on the website, an ID made by the app | To limit how many checks one person can run, and to list your checks in the app | With the check it belongs to |
| Your IP address | To limit how many checks one connection can run | One hour for the limit; our server logs keep it 30 days |
| When you tap through to a store: which result, the time, and your browser's user agent | To know whether our results are useful | 12 months |
| The app's push token, if you allow notifications | To tell you when a result is ready | Until you turn notifications off or delete the app, or 12 months unused |
| Instagram and TikTok messages: your account's ID on that platform and what you send us | To reply to you | The check as above; our server logs 30 days |
We don't ask for your name, email or phone number, and there are no accounts.
Who else sees it
Only the services that do the work, and only what each one needs:
- Meta (Instagram) and Zernio deliver messages between you and us when you write to @demarkup_com on Instagram or @demarkup on TikTok.
- Apinoa reads product pages and searches AliExpress and Amazon with the links and photos you send.
- OpenAI compares product photos to tell whether two listings are the same item. It doesn't use them to train its models.
- Our servers are rented and run by us; our domain's DNS is at Cloudflare.
When you tap a result, you go to that store (AliExpress, Amazon or another), and its own privacy policy applies there. We would share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
Anyone with the link
Each result has its own address with a random code, like demarkup.com/c/x7Kp2mQa. Anyone you share it with can see the result and the product you sent. Results are not listed or indexed by search engines.
Your choices
Write to dev@demarkup.com to see or delete what we hold about you; send the result link or the device ID if you have it. You can clear the website's cookie in your browser at any time. Demarkup is not meant for children under 13.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change matters, we'll say so on the website.
